Quotes from Kevin's 2011 ArtPrize performances (114 shows over 19 days!):
"Puppeteer-cum-endurance-performer Kevin Kammeraad could be found day after day on the grass outside the Children’s Museum kicking, wiggling, shaking, and singing with an excited crowd of children and parents. His energy was infectious. Playful and educational, I loved what The Kevin Kammeraad and Friends Puppet Theatre added to daily life in the neighborhood of Hillside."
- Nicole J. Caruth, freelance writer and curator, Brooklyn, NY
"Our girls LOVED it! I think they requested to come every day but we had to explain we just couldn't make it downtown everyday! Loved, Loved, Loved the show."
- Jen Byrne, Parent
"Kevin's show very gently SCREAMS joy, fun, creativity, imagination and wonder. Watching Kevin's performance is kind of like opening a birthday present when you were six. It starts with the eager excitement of wondering what it could possibly be. Then there is the total joy of ripping into it with all your senses, followed by the thrill of keeping a gift you've never imagined."
- Robert W. Dean, Executive Director, Grand Rapids Children's Museum
"Kevin's dynamic performances keep kids engaged and laughing. Wielding a cast of puppets, including one of himself, Kevin performs songs and skits that kids and adults alike are compelled to watch. Be prepared to leave the show humming Kevin's catchy tunes...they'll invariably get stuck in your head!"
- Melody VanderWeide, founder of GR's Online Family Guide, grkids.com
"Your passion is contagious!"
- Zoraida Velez, Parent
"The energy level and rapport with the audience was top notch!"
- Maggie Terryn, MomColoredGlasses.com
"You have an amazing gift of entertaining children. The whole puppet performance blew me away."
- Ruthanne Lambert, Parent
