Kevin Kammeraad and Friends 2016 from Cooperfly Creative Arts on Vimeo.

Puppeteers of America

National Puppetry Festival 2017
Performance Application

Title of show:

The Spinach Dip Pancake Show!

Description:
Packed with puppets, interactive songs, and a brand new puppet trunk theatre, Kevin and friends are sure to bring a smile to your face in this all ages puppet concert.
“Kammeraad has put together an eclectic selection of songs and spoken poems… performed as a contemporary vaudeville and variety show, the goal of which is to inspire creativity in young listeners… This fun and sometimes silly album is a treat for the whole family.” – School Library Journal

Bio:
Kevin loves to perform, write, draw, sing, make things, and wonder about possibilities. He is an award-winning artist, performer, and children's author of many books and CDs who thrives on collaborating with other artists. He has released several acclaimed children’s CDs, twice receiving the Parents’ Choice Fun Stuff award. He was named Grand Rapids’ On The Town Magazine’s best local visual artist as part of the 2015 Townie Awards, recently won a gold medal in the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, and has performed across the United States – from the National Children’s Museum in Washington D.C. to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Hawaii.
In December 2015, Kevin was thrilled to be a part of the puppet team bringing Jane Henson’s The Nativity to life at the Cathedral of St. Andrew. Each year, he visits schools, libraries, festivals, and conferences to inspire active imaginations through poetry, puppetry, music, and movement. He and his family live in Grand Rapids, MI.

Additional information:
My approach to performing is flexible. This new show, The Spinach Dip Pancake Show!, is the newest “set list;” however, I can also perform in a variety of approaches or themes (think of it as various set lists for puppet concerts). To see more, visit http://www.kevinkammeraad.com/videos.html

I’m most excited about my new ability to roll the puppet theatre into any location and instantly be ready to perform! I’m happy to bounce around any ideas for creating something unique or specific for the needs/theme of the festival.
